Playcare & Boarding Policies

Please review these policies before making an appointment

Please Note:
It is required to have a temperament test prior to boarding and playcare. This is at least a 30-minute session where we can see how your pet does with our staff and other pets. It is HIGHLY recommended to come in some day before boarding to do at least a half-day playcare so they get used to the environment and staff that will be taking care of their pet!

Vaccinations and Fecal Test:

All pets staying with us will be required to provide proof of updated rabies, bordetella, and distemper vaccinations upon request. Since pets will have a weakened immune system after receiving vaccinations, pets must receive the vaccination no sooner than 7 days before boarding and must be planned accordingly. We also require that pets have a negative fecal check prior to coming in for boarding to ensure that the pet has no transmittable internal parasites.

Check-in and Check-out times:

We allow for check-in time anytime between 9:30 and 5:30 Monday-Saturday. Please allow 30 minutes for check-in to ensure that we can gather all the needed information and thoroughly check over the pet. We have the right to refuse services if all proper procedures are not followed during check-in. We require that all boarding pet parents provide a copy of their driver's license in the event of abandonment. Check-out time must be at 12:00 PM on the day scheduled for pick up. Any time after our pick-up time will require a half-day daycare charge of $15 added to their bill.

Excessively Dirty Pets:

To ensure our facility and other boarding and daycare pets stay clean and your pet is comfortable during their stay, any pets that come in during check-in that are dirty will require a bath upon entering the facility. The bath they receive will be given at a discounted rate.

Payments:

Payments for the dates scheduled for boarding will be due at the time of drop off. Any additional days, charges, or services will be due at pick up.

Daycare charges will be due at the time of pick up. Multiple day daycare packages are available for pre-paying if interested.

We do not accept over the phone payments, checks or American Express credit cards.

Holiday Reservations:

Due to the high demand for holiday boarding, we will require a prearranged payment for holidays in order to hold your pet's reservation.

Feeding:

Our staff will feed your pet twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. If your pet requires more feeding times, we recommend adding on the TLC package to allow for extra time for feedings. Since pets typically have issues with sudden changes in the diet, we require that each pet bring in individually packaged food for each feeding the duration of their stay and an additional day in the event of an emergency requiring the pet staying an additional day.

Medications:

We do not allow boarding pets that require medication. For pets requiring daily medications, we recommend boarding at a facility with trained medical staff to ensure that the pet receives medications as needed.

Flea & Tick Prevention:

Each pet is required to be current on flea and tick prevention for boarding and playcare. We will do a check-in examination to make sure that the pet does not have fleas and ticks. In the event that your pet comes in with fleas and ticks, we will require treatment of external parasites before staying at our facility. We provide Capstar and flea and tick topical prevention in the event that this happens and can give at your expense. If your pet is not current on the flea and tick prevention or the flea and tick prevention that you are using is not working and you choose not to use one of ours and comes in contact with fleas during the duration of their stay, we will require a clean up fee for our facility and require that the pet is treated with a Capstar for each day during the stay to ensure our facility stays flea free.

Extended Stay/Abandonment:

If your pet needs to stay for longer than the scheduled time, you will be required to pay for the additional days upon pick up. If we do not have any contact with you within 24 hours you do not pick up your pet, we will proceed to follow state guidelines of abandonment of animals by owner and pet owner will be fully responsible for all fees and associated costs of such.

Temperament and Marking Test:

Each pet staying with us will be required to perform a temperament test before coming in for boarding or daycare. This is to ensure that your pet will get along with our staff and all dogs that are in the play area. We allow for 30 minutes free in our playcare area to watch for any signs of aggression or threatening behavior of your pet. We HIGHLY recommend bringing in your pet some day before your boarding reservation for at least a half day of playcare to allow them to get used to our environment and our staff. If your pet is prone to urinating in the play area, we will require them to wear a belly-band or diaper to ensure that our play area or other pets stay clean during their stay with us. If you wish your pet not to wear a belly band or diaper, we, unfortunately, will not be able to keep your pet in the play area.

Behavior and Medical Issues:

When bringing in your pet, it is understood that your pet is in good health and has not injured, shown aggression or threatening behavior to any person or dog. Problems with your pet, behavioral, medical or otherwise will be treated by staff. We will attempt to call you or your emergency contact for a plan of action; however, in the event that we can not get in contact with either, it is in our sole discretion to treat as deemed best by our staff any and all issues in a way that is in the best interest of the pet. The full financial responsibility and all liability for any and all expenses involved will be at the pet owner's responsibility.

Spay/Neuter:

All pets coming in for boarding or daycare services are required to be spayed or neutered.
